A JOURNEY THAT SPANS
THREE CONTINENTS.
I'm Coach Jean Bueno, born in Brazil — a country where sport, family, and passion run through your veins from day one. After graduating in Physical Education, completing a master's degree in Education, and working as a Personal Trainer for 10 years, I moved with my family to the United Arab Emirates, where we lived and worked for 15 years.
In Abu Dhabi, I became a pioneer in youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu programming — one of the first coaches to formally structure BJJ for children and measure its effects on cognitive development. That work led me to peer-reviewed scientific publications on how martial arts training improves focus, self-control, and academic performance in young people. It's not just something I believe — it's something I proved.
I'm also a 4th Degree BJJ Black Belt and a 2x Mr. Universe titleholder.
But the title I'm most proud of? Husband. For over 27 years, I've been married to the woman who is my partner in everything — in life, in parenting, and now in building CJAD together.
We have two daughters (21 and 15), two cats, and an unshakeable belief that the gym should feel like a second home. That's what we moved to San Antonio to build. And with you here, we're already doing it.
